The Royal Navy Fitness Test

On April 1, 1999, the Royal Navy Fitness Test (RNFT) was introduced for all Royal Navy and QARNNS personnel. Initially implemented for personnel under 25 years old, it has since progressed to include additional 5-year age groups. The RNFT Office, within DNPTS, is responsible for developing, monitoring, and implementing policies, procedures, protocols, and standards for RN Fitness Testing across the Royal Navy.
