This is exciting. Still is a turntabilist and one third of Dälek. "Remains" is his first solo release and is comprised of six studio tracks and one live track. The entire CD is composed over the course of two years with only Technics 1200 turntables and various effects pedals.

The overall vibe here is dark. No beats or DJ convention "turntable mastery here". This is a very musical exploration of sounds and forms. Looping devices figure heavily in Still's process. The live track, 'Blindness' puts the entire program into perspective. It's always reassuring to know that the conceptualist is also a performer. Sublimely beautiful. Gorgeous.
