Never
judge a book by its cover. Wise words indeed. There are of course exceptions
to this. If you received a CD sandwiched between a block of wood and a
piece of thin metal held together by two nuts and bolts with washers)
then you would be right to assume the music therein wasn’t hip hop,
pop or anything even remotely musical for 99% of the population.
The sickness of Einleitungsziet return with another foray into the dark
realms of noise abuse with which to torture yourself with. Hooray for
noise. Extreme noise or white noise or power electronic noise it’s
all the same. The effect to disorientate and cause grievous harm to the
ears is the chosen path for many but only a certain few can continually
sustain the onslaught without appearing devolved of any fresh ideas. Step
forward Einleitungszeit. Your time is nigh. With "Human Scrap: anAtomic
Prayer" Einleitungszeit have expanded their repertoire and added
subtle touches so the music is never so over powering as to be unb earable
or impossible to sit through. The almost serene passages that litter the
recording soon give way to an apoplectic frenzy that frazzles the brain.
At its heart though still beats the joy of chaos and its soul is corrupted
to the core. Also included on the disc is a comprehensive multimedia presentation
consisting of an interview with the group, lyrics, photos and live performance…to
a crowd of about ten listless punters. They…the group…deserve
better. One day all artists will follow this multimedia route as it makes
for a more intimate and personal experience and lets you be at one with
the ideas being generated by the music.
"Human Scrap: anAtomic Prayer", although not exactly ground
breaking in its approach, does more than enough to sustain the interest
throughout without boring the shit out of the listener which many such
recordings are guilty of. Fascinating and fun in a masochistic way.
