Sweet Jesus. After hearing the first 4 releases on Isolated Society of Spain I was expecting something ambient, dark and maybe a little bombastic from this, their first full-length release. Nothing of the sort. This disc will kick you sideways. Think Merzbow being raped by Masonna and this is somewhere close. Eight absolutely relentless, harsh, grating and thoroughly exciting tracks that will make you feel uncomfortable and nauseous from the outset.

I thought Armenia were harsh and brutal, even if their 'songs' lasted over 10 mins apiece. Constant walls of noise injected with screeching cacophany....fantastic stuff. Then we get treated to Celestial Plentitude. This is some of the finest power electronics - verging on Japanoise - that I've heard in some time. The most unlikely scenario? It's done by a Spanish senorita by the name of Fátima who also runs this fine label.

If you were in any doubt before, Isolated Society is becoming one of the hotest and most collectable labels around at the moment - so get these very limited CDs while you can. You won't regret it.
